Systems Administrator

Position Summary

The Systems Administrator will help us meet our infrastructure goals throughout the organization. They are responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operations of computer systems and servers. They install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of the organization. They will also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Azure Management and optimization
  • Build and maintain infrastructure tooling as needed
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewall
  • Group policy creation and deployment
  • Improve operations management systems and processes as needed
  • Leverage existing technology to identify and communicate vulnerabilities as needed
  • Linux and MacOs deployment, optimization, and administration
  • Maintain, manage, deploy, and optimize SQL Server
  • MS group policy creation and deployment
  • O365 Management and optimization
  • Provide technical support to projects as needed
  • Scripting and server management utilizing Powershell
  • Secure Remote Access Technology
  • Server virtualization using VMWare
  • Take care of websites and deployment utilizing Microsoft IIS/Apache

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience up to 10 years in the Information Technology industry
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience building and maintaining a Windows Server environment
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience building and maintaining a production Linux environment
  • Comfortability with Azure, AWS, or any other cloud computing system
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of Information & Document Lifecycle processes, Infrastructure & IT Security, systems integration, and technical writing
  • Experience with IIS Web Server deployment best practices, web hosting, databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Extensive understanding of TCP/ IP Networks
  • Proficiency with Windows (2012+) and Linux servers required
  • Technical certifications (MTA, MCSA, MCITP, MCSE, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and enterprise storage
